All School Meeting- Tues. @ 6:45
Field Trip- Please remember to return your slips by May 5th. Thanks J
Character First- The month of May we will be learning about “Forgiveness.” Forgiveness is clearing the record of those who have wronged me and not holding a grudge.
We will stress the following:
I Will:
-be quick to forgive.
-not cover up my own wrongs but will be quick to ask for forgiveness.
-not seek revenge.
-respond kindly to those who hurt me.
-not take up offenses for others.
Bible- Bible verse- John 3:3b “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” Test will be on May 8th.
Numbers-These addition facts need to be memorized: (2+3=5, 3+2=5, 2+4=6, 4+2=6, 3+3=6, 2+5=7, 5+2=7 3+4=7, 4+3=7, 2+6=8, 6+2=8, 3+5=8, and 5+3=8, 2+7=9, 7+2=9, 3+6=9, 6+3=9, 4+5=9, and 5+4=9) They need to give the answer within a three second time limit. Please help your child learn them. We continue to practice the facts in class, but please continue at home. This is the last marking period and I am marking backward numbers wrong. Please continue to review coins and writing down and telling time.
SSRW- We have started working on the short “o” list last week. Be sure the list of words is signed and returned. They read the little storybook Hop On, Frog and Bob and Spot. They did the work pages that go along with the stories. Make sure when your child brings home a story book that you sign the small sheet that shows your child has read the storybook three times and return it.
Centers-

What does that cost? -Adding coins
Shake Those Beans- Addition nine
